Project Description

IPL Pulsed Light

Pulsed Light at high intensity is a technique used to practice non-invasive treatments of photoepilation.

Description

Conceptually similar to the laser, it has air cooling and is different from the latter because the light emitted by IPL is polychromatic or multi wavelength, not consistent and becomes selective with the application of specific filters from 600 to 630 nm selectable according to the phototype and the color of the hair. The phototypes treatable are I, II, III.

The heat produced by the flashes of light is absorbed selectively by the melanin contained in the hair, going up to the deeper layers of the hair follicle and determining the thermal degeneration of the hair in the anagen phase without however harming in any way the surrounding tissues that are protected by a special filter spacer.

The density of energy required depends on the color of the hair as well as its diameter and depth. The process, known as “photo-thermolysis selective” pulsed light requires a number of sessions and caution with respect to UVA radiation exposure.

Accessories
